I will be forever in AWE with how you do this. Every single word of the above weaved it’s way through my musical soul and now I’m a puddle of feeling, beautiful mess on the floor. Incredible.
JULZ. My whole heart is also puddling on the floor, right next to you. My god it is. It is such an otherworldly thing I often wonder how it’s here on earth.
Brooke, you'll never believe it. I was just thinking "we haven't heard from Brooke in a while.." and bam, here you are. My heart is inextricably connected to yours 🖤
I feel this so deeply it hits marrow. Music is an unofficial but should be official religion and we’re definitely in its cultish grip. And absolutely I get down hard to Kokomo. My mind just starts screaming ARUBA JAMAICA
Wow wow WOW. “Preserved memories within songs”. I can think back on so many moment in my youth, boys, experiences, friendships . . And I may not remember them to the detail, but I remember the specific songs that would capture every moment. My favorite? Showing lovers my favorite songs and ‘til this day, I know that every time they hear that song, they think of me. I wish there was a word that could describe that feeling. But this piece of writing sums it up very well 😍
I’m not sure how I found you but I am ever so grateful I did. Your words feel my heart with the bliss of sweet memories and wonders of timeless music...also not sure why but I found myself thinking of the movie ‘Almost Famous’.
This article brought so many musical memories to mind. Screaming in the crowd at a violent femmes concert at 12, sending songs to high school crushes in hopes they’d understand a glimpse, singing country songs to my dad driving with the windows down... what a rush

I am exactly the same way. I cannot work, art, drive, work out without it.
But inquiring minds want to know... do you get down with the Kokomo?
